What are your thoughts whenever you hear the that name and is it a name you would consider naming your child or no?

No, I would not name a child Dexter. The name Dexter has become synonymous in the public mind with nerds and serial killers. (In fact, the author of the "Dexter" novels, about the serial killer, chose the name because he thought it sounded nerdy, and hence would increase the irony that his mild-mannered lab geek was actually a brutal killer.)
