Is there any way we can greatly limit American men's "right" to speak out against feminism?

Asked by Stinky at 21 May,2013
American men should do with what they have, before we take that away, too. Speaking out against feminism was a right under the Patriarchy. The Patriarchy must be dismantled. That's what I mean.

How about working on limiting dumb people's right to free speech first?

Other Answers:
  1. No. Its called freedom of speech. Voicing your opinion is not a crime.
  2. I think everyone should speak out against feminists.
  3. Feminism is the fight for equality. Anyone who doesn't believe in equality is a disgrace to society.
  4. Think you have already been making your strides with NDAA and SOPA, ammendments to the Constitution and the like. So doing a pretty good job of stripping people of their rights and few seem to really contest it. It is a most nefarious intention but the men I speak with seem to think there will be a backlash to all these gender politics and then women will truly be made second class citizens on sheer force alone. And they will know slavery then.
  5. True feminism is a civil rights issue. To deny your right of free speech is to deny my own.
  6. I'm of the camp where I may disagree with what someone says, but to paraphrase, I will defend their right to say it.

Some ideas from feminism I agree with, other ideas I disagree with. I certainly would disagree with "greatly limiting" freedom of speech to a specific group of people because I disagreed with them. That would set to me what would be a chilling precedent. What happens to the group you disagree with today is what can happen to the group you agree with tomorrow.

The best way I can think of to greatly limit anyone's speaking out against a cause or philosophy you agree with is to counter their arguments with better arguments. I also think it is important to be willing to listen to counter-arguments and be willing to change one's own position as well.

So far as internet rage and anonymous, hateful comments go, I do not think those sorts of arguments are worthy of serious debate.
  7. There's The 'real' Patriarchy which consists of autonomous families who own most of the worlds wealth, the leaders are mostly male.

Then there's The Patriarchyâ„¢, a feminist scapegoat, just a target to justify there sexist actions.
  8. Nah. Freedom of speech is not a partriarchal right. They can talk all they want.
  9. That's some tough talk sweetie pie.

Men will laugh off any threat by women because we don't really take any of it seriously. BUT let me warn you.as soon as we "know for sure" you're trying to " F " with our liberty..... Back to the 1400's you go.
