What do you think the Gender Studies (Y!A) section will be like in 10,15, 20 years time?

Harmonious? Edit: Whether you're here or not is not part of the question. @Jason - I agree with you there.

I hope the whole issue of equality is sorted out, and that Gender Studies as we know it now would just be a part of history. Dates and names, laws and conduct...that we will be at peace knowing that men and women are equal with equal rights and opportunities. And we will also understand that nature meant for us to be different. Different doesn't mean unequal. It's like recognizing two halves of a whole. As for Yahoo Answers, it probably will be gone or transformed into something else in 10-20 years time. Technology moves swiftly, as does our attention span. :)

Other Answers:
  1. nonexistant
  2. I wont be apart of it and neither will any of the current regs.

Edit: It kinda is, the regs pretty much make this section what it is currently, if we all up and left, it would change, for better or worse. I see all types of answers/questions about how bad this place was when it was run by feminists majority. Who's to say our leaving wont have a similar effect?

Besides, we'll never know, I sure as hell wont be here ten year...
  3. I doubt all the users here will still be here. I'll be 27, 32, and 37 in 10, 15, and 20 years. I honestly don't think that I'll be here when I'm 27. I could be wrong, if I am here I doubt that I'll be in the Gender studies section.....I don't think that any of the users here right now will be here in 10 years.

Ok to answer your question i don't think Y!A will exist in 20 years, and if it does I doubt anyone will come on here unless they have a question about cooking food, or auto repair.
  4. Hopefully the Canada version (and others) will actually BE called Gender Studies, rather than Women and Gender Studies.

I have a feeling that there will be an uprising of both MRAs (especially) and feminists. Now that the MRM is gaining influence and movement, some policies, laws, and norms may begin to be challenged and cause controversy. These controversies will be discussed (or ranted) here in G(W)S.
  5. Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose i reckon. Assuming tinternet is still here, it'll be the same old crud from all of us. And we wouldn't want it any different would we, lets be honest?
