It's men who decide who will be poor, and who will be rich? Who can have these rules, and who can't? Who will have a fair government, and who won't? And by "fair", i'm comparing middle east tyrants to UK or U.S leaders..Is it still not mainly down to men? Hey Woody :) Moralfag, but they're still men, right? Pfft, you can't even spell sandwich right....good luck next time... Pluto, no need to throw "patriachy" at me. I never use that word, ever...and still not sure what's included in that deal. :) Lyssa, I'm not American :)

Not quite. The men who rule the world rule the world. Hannah, here are some kings for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUF8aRodecM
Other Answers:
- MEN DO RULE THE WORLD.
WOMAN IN KITCHEN MAKIN ME SANWICH - No because men didn't want equal rights for women, but then women told them off
- Men have it so lucky! Women get mistreated.
- not me.
- The Few elite men rule the world. Majority of men aren't in power.
- The hand that rocks the cradle...
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/the_hand_that_rocks_the_cradle_rules_the_world - In a democracy, the voters decide whom they wish to rule. The fault lies with the collective "us".
- Depends which men you're talking about. Most men are ruled by women, either ones in their lives or just their desire to have one. The other men either gave up on women because women didn't want them anyway or they're like the Rockefellers (super-rich.)
1% of men > Women > The other 99% of men - Men don't rule the world. It's ruled by men and women now.
A patriarchy isn't relevant and probably never was.
Women always had privileges. - No men don't, feminist bitches can't except anything, men do more for this world than women but they don't get equal rights. Think about it, if a woman hits a man then everyone assumes she had a reason,a man even touches a woman he's a monster who can't control himself and is evil.
- Generally speaking, true, men are ruling the world. If the general public in the U.S. wanted more women in office, more women should run for office. It's a Democracy, women can run against men, there's no rule that says they can't. How many women have seriously made an effort for the highest positions? Not too many, are there?
- No, it is those in power who rule the world and decide the fate of all of us, some of these people are women. Men are just as oppressed by the powers that be as women are. There has never existed a system which benefits men at the expense of women.
I can post names of women who when given the same power as men, did nothing different. Were just as willing to send thousands of men to their deaths, were just as sexist against women under their rule, and only cared about elevating themselves.
Being a man does not equate to being powerful and corrupt.. Not all men have power or privilege. - The "elites" of men rule the world so saying that women are is not really true.
Why? probably because men are more competitive and power seeking by nature. - It is probably true that a very small number of men make the vast majority of big money/big political decisions.
Yup.
It's also true that men generally make decisions across the bulk of the population of the world, since most of the population could be described as Eastern (e.g. Asian Indian, Chinese, etc).
It's only when you look at the US and the Western culture generally where women come out on top. The guys at the very top have no desire to change anything since it works to their benefit, but certainly women have completely up ended how all but how the very top levels of society work. And the very top levels of society have a vested interest in preserving the status quo, so they're either not going to change, or they'll simply assimilate women as they emerge.
Women make the vast majority of consumer purchases, are now receiving the bulk of education and are taking over middle management. Soon, they'll be taking over upper middle management simply for lack of male competition.
Frankly, I'd have no problem with this (hell, HIGH TIME!) if it weren't for the fact that it's leaving boys in a precarious position, and highly likely to create a glut of undereducated unemployable men. See Middle East for why this is potentially a huge problem. - Maybe the world but not in my house.
- Which men? Certainly not I.
In the great scheme of things, men as a whole COULD choose to overpower women and force them to be our slaves if we wanted to. To be honest, I have my suspicions that it's that fact which drives this level of paranoia in women, that even when the government is bending over backwards to give you everything you ever wanted at men's expense, you're still whining about this. The fact that we have a government that gives you MORE rights than men shows just who men as a whole have been concerned with since the dawn of time.
And to be honest, it's an extremely small-minded notion, as if there are no deceitful or jealous women driving things behind the scenes, asking their husbands why they don't have as much as that richer family they know, and so on. Quite frankly, if you read history and you read about the lives of great kings and emperors long past, you'll see that women have been just as active as men in making the world a crummy place to live. It's just that they've been doing it by craftier means, and all of this has resulted in plausible deniability for modern women: they can continue to blame the state of affairs on men, even with powerful female politicians who are clearly corrupt, like Hillary Clinton.
It's a small-minded notion, and it's not one that an educated person would have. - Not quite. The men who rule the world rule the world.
Hannah, here are some kings for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUF8aRodecM - lol middle east tyrants and US leaders. ours is pretty much corrupted as well. don't act like our shyt don't stink.
