I remember when a date was stressful for a young man. I would spend time worrying about her having a good time. Worrying if everything would go as planned. First I would have to meet her parents. The old man would ask me some questions. How do I know his daughter? Where are we going? What time will I be bring her home? Who are my parents? Where do I live? Simple questions, but you gotta remember, I'm 17 years old, so I'm nervous...lol So now my mind drifts to will our dinner reservations be on time? Will she like the dinner? Will she like the movie? Will we have good conversation? So my question is, do kids still date anymore? I just don't see young men putting in the effort anymore.

No - they confuse 'dating' with screwing like rabbits, as if that is all there is to any relationship. then they wonder why, at 23, they are unsatisfied with life and their 'relationships', and lapse into any one or more of a number of modern delusions, including 'feminism' to justify their own failures as human beings. - Well, it's because they don't. Don't worry about it to much. Just have fun and be yourself. If you do that I'm sure she'll have a great time with you. I mean, she wouldn't have agreed to go out with you if she didn't want to. Good luck, hun, have fun!
- They have learned "the juice is not worth the squeeze".
- It seems more they either "hang out" or "hook up."
- Trust me... She goes through the same things as you do. It isn't just young men that are nervous about dating. They are wondering will he like me, do I look alright? Will his parents like me? They're thinking about what they can order that won't cost a fortune, won't be messy to eat, etc...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KKsINH9UoA - In short, no. If there's one thing that I would like to see come back to being the norm it's old fashioned courtship.
- I don't know. Apparently, because I see girls having bf's left and right and going out and stuff.
i'm 19, never had a car and live(d) in states where you need one if you want to go anywhere past your mailbox, so i've never been on one myself
but apparently the huge majority of teens in the US do have cars and drive. yes, people do it all the time. a high school of 3200 students was proof enough - I think men don't put any effort anymore because, they became smart enought to realize that most women are just menatlly retarded, gender narcissitic, gynocentric, hypocritical and selfcentered lesbians (nothing against open lesbians but the "straight" ones).
Probably the one thing I hate the most about women is their lesbian leaning and the idiotic superiority complex that allows them to link such a thing to "objectivity" or "art". And I'm not talking about open lesbians but the stupid ones ("straight" women).
I mean, they are lesbians and yet most of them date men, it is really disgusting. It is obvious their narcissism is more important than their "SO"'s feelings ( they wouldn't proclaim their "women are easier on the eye", "women have more to look at", etc. if a guy's self esteem meant something to them) and yet they consider themselves empathic, romantic and emotionally connected?. And I don't believe an adult person could be naive enough to ignore the psychological abuse present in their bashing or the intellectual myopia existent in their "I'm straight but I find the female body more aesthetically pleasant and I prefer to look at women" homoerotic mantra.
Nobody is pointing a gun to their head, if they find women so attractive, why don't they date women instead?. IMO, the answer is narcissism and necessity; this makes women unworthy of respect in my opinion. - Things are more equal now. Any gender can ask the other out, pay for the meal, etc. Also, many do things 50/50 now (split the bill in half, for example). There are still sexist standards, but becoming equal is a much better way to be.
