taking my girlie to the zoo safari down by montreal. EDIT so i just read about it on wikipedia, and it said mothers day originally started in the U.S. and spread to other countries who adjusted the date based on existing mother-based traditions in their countries. also the woman who started in hated what it became and spent the rest of her life protesting against it, even going to jail for one of her protests. fascinating.
