How is "taking a life never right"?

Asked by Hannah at 08 May,2013
In regards to a murderer that has already killed an innocent person I seriously wonder what is wrong with some of you.. But Vamp, why do they deserve that chance? They don't, surely? Their innocent victim doesn't get the chance to live. So why should the "bad" person, just because they learnt how to behave themselves? That would mean they're getting more chances at life than an innocent person that was just in the wrong place at the wrong time! Invisible,im glad we agree on something

Well, I would like to see if they would change their minds if someone they were really close to was butchered by a psycho. If someone murdered someone I love, I would want to exectute them myself.

Other Answers:
  1. You love chez don't you?

    Don't you???
  2. How do you think?
Taking any life is never right.
It's not our place to take life.
  3. Because I am not God.

I am a mere human being.

Which is just one of the things that is wrong with me.
  4. I wonder about people like you. If Einstein killed someone and was then executed, think about how far behind we would be as a species. What if that murderer that we had executed was going to, if they hadn't been killed, revolutionise some aspect of everyone's life BECAUSE of the experiences they had. Think about it.
  5. Well I'm a religious person and I go by the bible. Killing is killing no matter if its a criminal or someone hiding behind a gavel.
  6. Some people view all life as sacred. I'm not sure what's so difficult to understand about that.
  7. Take a look at the innocent project. Are you willing to be one the people who have been put to death that was later found to have been not guilty? Our justice system is not perfect. I love America but everything isn't perfect here. Mistakes happen and I'm not okay with one of those mistakes being an innocent person put to death to make me sleep better at night or feel safer. Guilty people get acquitted everyday are you so arrogant to think that an innocent person never gets found guilty?
  8. I don't think anything is wrong with me for being against the death penalty. What kind of world do we live in when people are called messed up for being against killing? It's a difference in opinion, I can't change my feelings about it =^-^=

Edit: "I'm always amazed at how many people against the death penalty are pro-abortion."

It works the other way around, too, I've noticed ;)
  9. Nobody's "innocent" in this world.

If person A makes a judgment that person B should die, and I disagree, so I make a judgment that person A should die, then, well, I'm just as bad as they are. And person C wouldn't necessarily be a hypocrite to make a judgment that I should die.

The fact that you desperately want to kill people makes me question whether you deserve to live.
  10. If an animal attacks a human, we put it down. If a human attacks and kills another human, he's no better than an animal in my eyes and so he should be put down too. Simple as that.

It's easy saying "It's never right to take a life!" when it's someone else's child being raped or killed. But try telling me that when it's your child.
  11. I will tell you something that I have understand.
An act isn't bad by it's nature. They maybe reasons. But killing is something too bad.I think the same ,killing a person that killed innocent people seems a bit right, or maybe it's the right thing.
  12. I can understand why you (or anyone) would hold their position in this subject, I used to share the same, but it is not productive at all if we kept the death penalty as we do now.

We should focus on rehabilitating criminals of any crime. If they can actually and honesty change their ways in to a moral person, then that would be far better than just killing them.

If they cannot change, then I suppose the death penalty would be more fitting.

We should not kill for being evil when we can change that evil to good.
  13. We put down rabid animals. Why not put down crazed humans?

We kill in defense of our lives or the lives of loved ones.

The Bible? Someone needs to go back and read about all of the God-sanctioned killing.
  14. In some cases it must be done.

liberals hate this. but I say f**k em... torture these animals to death - they did far worse to their victims. its called justice.
  15. Where does it start and where does it end? Why should the person taking away the life of the murderer be exempt from being deemed a murderer? We as a society need to relinquish such notions as to retrieve age old barbaric forms of justice.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning criminality, but two wrongs do not make a right. We have to evolve as a species.
  16. I'm always amazed at how many people against the death penalty are pro-abortion. Boggles the mind.
I'm not religious at all, so maybe that's why I'm pro death penalty.

Or maybe I think that if someone killed one of my loved ones, I would want that person dead, preferably by me.
That's probably the real reason now that I think about it.

If some crazy b***h shot, stabbed, and cut my sons throat, and there was no doubt she did it, death is the only answer. Get these sickos out of this world.
  17. You're asking what is wrong with a person who has a different opinion than you?

I hope I'm not alone in rolling my eyes at you.

And I very highly doubt you'd think it's right if someone was threatening to kill you. Would you so eagerly cheer on the death of your best friend, your husband, or your children? Would you swear at them in your mind and imagine them in horrible pain when they go? Murderers are still human beings, you know. With people who loved them, with memories, with feelings, with favorite colors, with names, with dreams. I honestly cannot fathom why you only think it's wrong to kill certain people.
  18. I think they just have different priorities and opinions, no matter how confusing or bizarre(and sometimes contradictory). Many of these anti-death penalty advocates(not all obviously) have no issues with us going to war and slaughtering countless people(where many innocent women and children get killed, too).

Not too long ago, I was with some friends the morning they announced on the news that they killed the older brother of the Boston terrorists. They were hooting and cheering like no other(as was I- because he deserved it), but I was also thinking to myself how these 2 friends are very much against the death penalty(and very vocal about it). It was bizarre and very hypocritical.

Many of these anti-death penalty people(not all of course) do nothing to stop animal euthanization at kill shelters nationwide, but find plenty of time and resources to protest the execution of a man that has raped and murdered innocent children.

The list goes on and on. But I can say, that I do think it's okay for them to have these opinions and I do understand their complaints about innocents being executed in the past without DNA and other modern technology, though it doesn't really apply now.
  19. Well, I would like to see if they would change their minds if someone they were really close to was butchered by a psycho.

If someone murdered someone I love, I would want to exectute them myself.
  20. We love vengeance, don't we?

As much as I hate some criminals, the outstanding thing in this situation isn't the criminals but another murder. Consider me among the few but my conscience just doesn't feel right killing another person or acting as an accomplice in support however criminal they may be.

I still don't understand how killing another life brings victims back to life or cements the emotional wound left behind.
Sometimes one needs to step into such life scaring shoes torealisee how worthless a solution the death penalty can be.
