Would you rather go on a date with a multi-millionaire or someone who was penniless?

Asked by Name at 23 May,2013
And by "penniless" I mean "not quite homeless, but their apartment contains little more than a mattress, a toothbrush, and a card table."

One who enjoys progress. I rather date someone who had a penny last year and 2 pennies this year than someone who had 100 million last year and 100 million this year. Total honesty on this one.

Other Answers:
  1. A millionaire....this is a no brainer.
  2. It would depend on their personality as money is not everything and a rich person is not necessarily happier than a broke one.
  3. millionaire, I suppose.
  4. Well it would depend on who it is, wouldn't it?
  5. One who enjoys progress. I rather date someone who had a penny last year and 2 pennies this year than someone who had 100 million last year and 100 million this year. Total honesty on this one.
  6. the rich person
  7. Penniless
At least we would have some common ground to start a conversation with
  8. For me, personality and heart are more important than wealth. Sure, millionaires are cool, but if they are going to talk trash to me, be dishonest, and treat me unkindly, I'd go for penniless. Heart speaks louder than fame
  9. A multi-millionaire obviously.
  10. Multi-millionaire, being honest.
  11. a millionaire.

I don't want to be involved with someone who can't figure out a way to at least obtain the basics in life, starting with a decent place to live.

why do people divorce for stupid reasons?

Asked by m1gr2345nbdeaxe at 23 May,2013
ok if you're in a abusive relationship then it makes sense to divorce them, however i think it's stupid to divorce just because your spouse has gotten uglier or because "you don't love them anymore" you know what granny i give up with you because you seem to think that divorcing people because they're ugly is a good thing, you seem to only scold me when dark eyes is bashing all men and you seem to like to insult me so you know what have a nice day

Stupid is as stupid does. --F. Gump

Other Answers:
  1. Because they secretly don't want to have sex with one person for the rest of their lives
  2. Because they're stupid.
  3. Women initiate 75% of divorces.

Mostly their reasons are valid and serious like they get bored, they feel they deserve a better guy, they just dont feel fulfilled etc.
  4. you are right ,that means they never loved the mate in the first place
  5. People just want the marriage party, but later take it for granted
  6. People (all kinds) marry and divorce for stupid reasons. I know a woman who married her husband because he told her he would kill himself if she didn't. They have been married to 50 years and she still talks about ruining her life but can't make a change because she is still afraid he will kill him self and she says she couldn't live with that. I told her she is happiness dead and that is like killing herself. I really can't understand other people and there are some days that I don't understand me.
  7. Stupid is as stupid does.
    --F. Gump
  8. There is usually more to it than that. Marriages don't typically break down overnight, they break down over a period of time. If your partner doesn't respect you, appreciate you or treat you well, then of course you are going to fall out of love - that applies to both sexes.

Granny T - well said. Have a great day.
  9. You're standing as judge on other people's marriages, deciding if their reasons are stupid or not. If a person goes to the effort and expense of ending a marriage, then they obviously don't think their reason is stupid.

Why does it even matter if other people get divorced for reasons you don't approve of?

Marry a lady who feels the same way you feel about this and then it won't even matter what other people choose to do in their marriages.

You think abuse is a "good reason" for divorce...but that's specifically YOUR perspective. However, you think other people should live based on YOUR perspective? It's not your business why other people choose to divorce and that's the truth of it.

There are some people who do not think abuse or cheating is a good reason for divorce and think "till death do us part" means exactly that, no matter what. Do you think you should be forced to stay in a marriage based on that person's perspective?

    Edit:
Thank you. You have a nice day too. :)

True or false: Porn does not show how to have sex?

Asked by Marie Tanya at 23 May,2013
Men and women believe that we are supposed to fuq like they do in porn videos. Yet I hear some people claim that porn is a horrible way to show men how women want it. Unless you are watching something "female friendly", the porn is geared mostly for men. The women performing in these acts are not enjoying themselves as much as they lead you to believe. Do you agree with this or not?

Best Answer:
Name at 23 May,2013
All I can say about this is: Not all porn, and not all women, are created equal. There is gentle porn, and there are women who like to be taken very roughly. I think there's truth in what you're saying, but nothing resembling universal truth.

Other Answers:

  2. Porn sex sounds fun. Better than missionary all the time.
  3. Revenge porn is my favorite
  4. Completely agree
  5. I would agree with your assessment. Some porn is just a woman servicing a man until he gets off on her face or in her mouth. This is not the porn to watch, the porn to watch has a silly story that turns into a fcuk session. Mostly women satisfy one another and the man then hopefully satisfies the girls. Not all porn should be viewed has just porn, some is rather good.
  6. False....porn DOES show how to have sex !! However, it does NOT show how to make love or show respect to the female !!
  7. Without porn, I would not know how to properly use the backseat of my jeep.
  8. Porn does in fact show you How to have sex but does not include any emotional bond.

That does not mean that they are not having fun.

They are just like the rest of the world, only about 30% happy in their work.

Men: You're on a date with an incredibly hot woman...?

Asked by Name at 23 May,2013
...and everything goes well, and you go back to your place, and you start having sex. And about a minute into the sex, the woman bites you. Hard. Not quite hard enough to break the skin, but almost. You try to ignore it, because, man, is she hot. But then about a minute later, she does it again. How do you react to this?

Ruin the moment by asking her why she keeps biting me.

Other Answers:
  1. I'd bite her back
  2. I'm a woman so I think I can give good advice, if your not into that kind of thing just tell her your not really into biting and maybe tell her to kiss you instead or bite softer then she is. She'll continue to do it if you don't tell her because she likes it and thinks you lie it. Or you can say "just let me bite you instead".
  3. Ruin the moment by asking her why she keeps biting me.
  4. Bizarre...

I've been asked to bite, and yes...bite hard [which I found odd], but I would never deliberately hurt someone like that.

I didn't oblige him, either... Just a bit too weird for me.
  5. Let her know you have some unopened chew toys among your pet supplies. If she gets angry and leaves, it's no loss. I've never enjoyed freaks who think physical violence is an integral part of sex.
  6. I don't like biters.

Guy or girl. Nothing like sharp teeth to take ya out ta a sexual tranz.

I say please don't bite. Can't stand that weird sh*t.

Teeth dragging along the skin that's fine. But actual clench no.

  3. I don't know about her being a good president but I'm also pretty sure she couldn't be worse than some of the recent ones - like her hubby. I honestly don't know her general politics, policy stands, or even her political affiliations. All I know is that she seems to be doing a reasonable job in her current position. If that qualifies her for the presidency, well then, maybe.

As to your low rating, please remember that people who see a question like that automatically open it if they are in favour. If they don't like her in the first place they likely (unlike you) open it and answer it. That's human nature.
  4. I'm a girl, but I think women would not be able to handle that type of job. And it's not really even a job, it's just a face, while congress runs the show. Most men, I think, that try to run as well, don't fit the job.
  5. The question was asked on a board whose very nature is inherently left-leaning.
Of course expressing an anti-Hillary response is going to be panned.
  6. well she might or might not make a good president. the president doesn't run anything. hes just a puppet. He can make it hard with veto's to change laws. But he surely doesn't create them, and doesn't enforce them.

Women get a free ride in life when their husband is rich.

Hilary Clinton married a president, graduated i believe from yale, a lawyer, real estate tycoon, and secretary of state, and ran for president. And handled her husband affair in the public. She didn't leave and still built her career. Male of Female. I understand the hate people have for her. But judged to every other woman. She sits at the top of my list for motivated. Unless somebody else has another first wife how is closely successful.

Jackie kennedy all she did was marry rich people. She got her money for her sex and he looks.

  2. teenagers have always been confused and depressed, the difference is that nowadays their angst is made public through social media
  3. Need to get out more
  4. Well, first thing that comes to my mind, is the fact that we are all 'subjects of our environment.' So, growing up, what are we subject to? Rising crime, broken homes, diseases, confusion, deception. Just to give a superficial list. Plus, there are so many distraction, we probably dont always realize the affect they may be having on us internally, until we feel down and in the dumps. Plus, society many times keeps us close minded to the outside, i.e., other countries, lands. Sometimes getting away and seeing what is out there and how others live life brings a fresh new perspective.
  5. we aren't all like that! Just the few that are seem to have become the teenager 'stereotype'.
Some say they are depressed because they are told to act like adults but then still treated like children because they're 'in between' the two.
Others are depressed because they believe there is nothing to do for teenagers anymore.
Other teenagers are depressed because they think it's 'cool' to complain about everything - let's hope this doesn't last! (not many people do this though)

Best Answer:

Many child abusers were abused themselves as children (note: this doesn't mean most victums of child abuse become child abusers--most of them do not). Some of them have personality disorders (e.g., antisicial, narcissistic, borderline) and some have personality disorder tendencies. Some of them could have Intermitant Explosive Disorder.

Other Answers:
  1. anger problems
  2. Loners, unattractive people who think children are easier meat. May have been abused in their childhood. Not cared for by parents.

  3. Fear induced anger. You'll never see the fear, but you'll see the anger over little things.

Most were mentally abused as children in addition to physical abuse.
  4. There probably are as many different characteristics of child abusers as there are child abusers! All are without conscience; the successful ones are very convincing to children and project great caring.

when was the definition of sexism and racism changed to only allow straight white men to be the villians?

BQ: how are the majority of white men that live in trailer parks subjugating anyone?

Best Answer:
Ashley at 23 May,2013
When society decided that people's wrong-doings in the past deserved eternal punishment. I am with you, if this is a complaint. Yeah, sometimes people have legit racist and sexist claims where they are entitled to something, but it has become such a "person who cried wolf" tale these days. If my great great grand father killed someone, I don't think I should be convicted of murder should I? So why do people think the fact that since a race was enslaved at one time means we should still be paying for it? I'm not saying everyone thinks this way, but a lot of people do. In fact, a lot of white people even think they should have to pay for what happened long before they were even born. Sure, we need to learn from it and be respectful to all races but that's it. After all, people have made the statement "you're racist against white people" impossible to be said. Is that right? There are clubs that only allow African Americans inside. Did you know that? What do you think would happen to me if I put up a sign that said you can only come in if you are Caucasian? And what about when I hear people of other races saying, "I can't stand white people. They annoy me." I hear this all the time. They say it casual. It doesn't really hurt my feelings. I know they're just talking... but what happens if someone said I can't stand black people. They annoy me. Wow... Look at the difference in how society reacts... People don't realize this is happening, but it is, and it's wrong. For sexism, I find a lot of girls extremely annoying with their feminist beliefs. Yeah, women were deprived in the past but who cares? We really are not deprived anymore. We get to vote. We get to work a job. We aren't forced into some role. We get to choose now. If someone is mistreating you because you are a woman, then fine... take it up with them... NOT all men... just them. To sum all of this up: The definition of sexism and racism changed to only allow straight white men as the villains when people decided that the best way to fix discrimination was to do it themselves.

Heterosexual white males are the scapegoat class throughout the English-speaking world today. It is clear proof of discrimination when individuals are treated differently based on their race or sex, but sadly some people are willing to practice this for personal gain.

Other Answers:
  1. Snore. You should tell your Mommy all about that. Everyone is being mean to you and it hurts.
  2. Because their racism and sexism means nothing to you. It only serves to hurt your feelings. Not to discriminate, or oppress you because those groups overall, don't have the means or the power to do so. People who make these arguments are people who think the past has no bearing on the present.
  3. The sociological definition of racism is "a system of group privilege." It's when one group is kept from having access to money or political power, based on the privileges of another group.

White men have money and political power in greater amounts than any other group.

Therefore they are not victims of racism.

It's kind of funny how if a black person says "That cracker is trying to keep us from voting," a white person thinks *the black guy* is the racist, because, well, obviously the magic word "cracker" is more important than discrimination at the polls, right? Right?
  4. My great grandma told me a long time a go "Racism against white people isn't racism, its Karma." Not saying I agree with this but I can't really blame her considering the time she grew up in.
  5. Heterosexual white males are the scapegoat class throughout the English-speaking world today. It is clear proof of discrimination when individuals are treated differently based on their race or sex, but sadly some people are willing to practice this for personal gain.

why do parents treat you differently than gradparents?

Best Answer:
Emanuel E at 23 May,2013
My grandparents may have spoiled me from time to time, but they laid down the law on me when I had it coming. So not all grandparents treat kids differently than the actual parents.

Other Answers:
  1. because grandparents arent responsible for kids. if the grandparent looked after the child on a regular basis they might punish them more.
i know people who were raised by their grandparents and only saw their parents on occasions, in this instance the grandparents did more of the punishing and the parents did more of the spoiling.
  2. My grandparents may have spoiled me from time to time, but they laid down the law on me when I had it coming. So not all grandparents treat kids differently than the actual parents.
  3. Because becoming a grandparent is the ultimate revenge on your children.
  4. It's not the grandparents' job to raise their grandchildren [not usually]. Disciplining is a parental job. Grandparents have already gone through it, now it's their turn to enjoy their grandchildren, rather than being sure they grow up to be able-bodied, contributing members of society. The time spent with grandparents is normally a limited amount of time, and they can give the kids back to their parents.
  5. parents have to raise you, grand parents just have to watch you.

  1. They aren't always that's a stereotype. Anyone can be. It can be a psychological condition.

Both teenage girls and guys have mood swings cause of raging hormones.

Men and women both have hormones.
  2. We'll never know.
  3. Because men spend 23 hours a day beating women
  4. because there are more woman beaters/abusers that are men then there are men beaters/abusers that are women
  5. Not only is emotional response a response to environment, but also a reaction to other factors like hormones. While both sexes have variations in hormones during the day, the menstrual cycle is hugely variable and almost entirely varying on psychoactive hormones that have been demonstrated to influence not only sexual preferences in different types of men but directly affect things like the sense of taste, smell, and other environmental sensitivities.

So, the short answer is women are more prone to mood swings because they are internally more variable across time in how they react to stimuli.

I had a near-death-experience some time ago--I was caught in the Kansas City Flood and swept under the front of a parked car. I grabbed the front bumper and braced one foot against the front wheel, but was slowly being pulled down under. I could breathe, but was also coughing on water. Then all of a sudden, I felt euphoric, and felt like letting go. But (my mind, I guess) said to me, "You CAN'T DO THAT TO KAREN!" Karen is my little Daughter and I then fought to keep my grip. Two brave young men then waded out and pulled me out from under the car and took me to the near-by hospital where they pumped some water out of my lungs. About 40 people died that night, and I gave thanks that I wasn't one of them. I later researched that experience, and found that when the brain is dying, it releases its whole load of endorphins--thus the euphoria. Not scared of death--but prefer to go on living my life to it's full length. Happy at 83.

What does nature vs. nurture mean?

Asked by Bri at 22 May,2013
I never understood this term can you please explain it

Best Answer:
athleticscholar at 22 May,2013
It just means genes vs. experience. Some psychologists used to believe that a person's personality is due to experience alone (all the things we've learned and experienced in life), while another group used to believe that our personalities are determined by the genes we've inherited from our parents. This is the nature vs. nurture debate: How much of our behaviour/personality is due to genes and how much of it is due to experience. We now know that our personalities are the result of BOTH nature and nurture (genes and our experiences).

Nature is the way you are designed and would be inevitably irrespective of what happened in life and nurture refers to environmental influences like upbringing having an effect on your personality.

77% of male prisoners reoffend and only 23% of female prisoners reoffend after release. I can't post links on my phone, but I found the stats pretty easily. I was wondering do you think the high rate of reoffense in male is why men get longer and more severe sentences?

Men have a much harder time learning from their mistakes, it seems...

Other Answers:
  1. Men have a much harder time learning from their mistakes, it seems...
  2. youre an idiot - good luck with everything x
  3. There are more male criminals then female criminals, and females are given the benefit of the doubt more in the criminal justice system then men. Everyone also knows people are less likley to report a woman, wheather it be a woman threatening them, or domestic violence with a crazed, abusive woman. Women tend to get away with more.

(NO sexist, just the way society is from my studies)
  4. Another guilt trip.
  5. It's because of testosterone. Men are naturally more aggressive due to this hormone. Some men channel this aggressive energy into creative and productive things, like technology, invention, and exploration,. whereas others channel it into destructive things like violence, theft, assault, rape, murder, pointless aggression, etc.

Yes, there are fewer women in prison but there are also fewer female inventors and innovators.

If you are female and you get a shot of testosterone, you will feel and understand what I'm taking about.

Why am i hated so much?

Asked by Laura Leigh at 23 May,2013
I am hated by everyone everywhere. People who meet me believe they hate me. They automatically judge me and ridicule me for little things. Im starting to question my character.

People today are just plain cold-hearted, careless, and rude. I know how you feel. Be yourself, remember that. Maybe they're just jealous of your personality!

Other Answers:
  1. ...arrogance is bad karma.
  2. I love you.
  3. Maybe you just have it made up in your head, you might have some kind of a social disorder
  4. People today are just plain cold-hearted, careless, and rude. I know how you feel. Be yourself, remember that. Maybe they're just jealous of your personality!
  5. I bet people don't really hate you.
  6. I like you. It's not because you have amazing boobs either.
  7. Get yourself a cup of coffee, with less sugar and more Baileys.
  8. Act like it doesn't bother you and do your own thing.
My motto is: fake it till you make it.
No one can know what your feeling inside till you let it show or tell them. Eventually some one will come along and see and like you for who you are.
  9. There must be something about you and an ongoing habit that creates enemies. Usually such people do not piss off one person but many. Because of said habit.
  10. Maybe you're paranoid or have social anxiety.
  11. Ever have any one take your personal life rip you to shreds with it and put the blame on you? If not you're not hated.

I prefer to call them trolls.

Other Answers:
  1. I prefer to call them trolls.
  2. Yes, mostly troll men through, being completely honest.
  3. There surely are many here.
  4. Bitter like dark chocolate
  5. Real life has more.
  6. No
  7. Anyone who sets out to prove something (study) is critically engaged to examine the minutia of existence, and yes, taken literally and read often, they can suck the air right out of a room.

I prefer to just hit anyone over the head that annoys me.
  8. Yes mostly the men.But I can understand why they're bitter. These are very angry white men with mental disorders. In reality they're unattractive, weird, social rejects and have low esteem.Even if one of them were attractive (which I highly doubt) they aren't wrapped too tight mentally.
  9. The only trolls in Gender Studies are the feminshits who think they deserve "rights".

You see, I am not just critical of third wave feminism, the first and second waves should be criticized too because that would imply that womenz are equal :DDD
  10. There's lots of bitter men and women in real life. A lot of people online are trolls.
  11. No kidding 80% percent of the questions asked in this section are misandric and misogynist questions.

Some could be trolls some could be people who have no social life.
  12. bitter? hateful and jaded is more like it.
  13. lol yes ..it is... good observation
  14. Bitter men. Women to my opinion have a lot of forums to complain in. Whether its your mother, farther, boyfriend, husband, best guy friend, friendshipzone friend, your bestfriend and even at work or to anybody who will hear you. All women relate on a social level about complaints better than a male would relate to another male about a complaint.

So yeah, this is the only place i can complain about anything that is unfair in society. I remember I once made some sexist commit about "damn i need a girl friend so i don't have to do laundry" my friend hannah posted quickly "im going to pretend i didnt read that". My friends just have a better since of humor than some women on here. They don't take me seriously cause they know me personally. And they have better comebacks besides getting insulted. They are quite witty people.
  15. The women don't taste bitter...

    Really! They don't...
  16. I think it is. I never had these thoughts while dating. I married and I'm actually happily married for many years. I don't get this section at all. I made my choices in life and if I choose poorly, I take full responsibility. Bitter people don't take responsibility. It's easier to blame and point fingers than have to look within yourself.
  17. I agree. I think many of these sites are used to vent.

As a punishment for bullying, a mom abuses her daughter?

Asked by Adeptus Astartes at 22 May,2013
She made the poor girl wear clothes from the thrift store! Someone take that poor girl away from that wretched woman! Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2328081/Mom-makes-daughter-wear-horrible-thrift-store-clothes-teach-lesson-bullying-students.html?ICO=most_read_module What do you guys think? Really abusive or Just a little abusive

That's not abuse, and fifty dollars ain't cheap, least not to me. As a child i was "punished" with a belt, extension cord, 12 inch long six in wide paddle and more than a few pops to the mouth. If only my mother believed in forcing me to wear ugly cloths as a punishment, we might get along better.

Other Answers:
  1. no that's not abusive
  2. This is not at all abusive. It is a brilliant, customized form of punishment fitting to her offenses.

If more parents of bullying children took action like this, there would be considerably less bullying and it would be halted early before the child turns to physical bullying.
  3. Not abusive. That girl needed her head rearranged, and this woman showed excellent skill in providing that service to her.
  4. I think most parents should buy their kids cheap/thrift clothing. There's no reason for kids to wear high end expensive clothing that they're likely to outgrow or ruin.
  5. well no one hit her all they did was try to make her feel the same way her victims felt thats a good idea.
  7. There is nothing wrong with wearing thrift store clothes. The woman should have made her daughter wear a sign saying "I am a bully."
  8. Step-mom... talk about fitting into stereotypes. But let us give her the benefit of doubt - maybe she had the girl's best interests at heart. How the story leaked to the daily mail though, I'll never know. They love sensationalizing stuff. Parents should be allowed to discipline their kids without everything being labelled abuse. They are spoiled enough as it is. You know the old saying - spoil the rod, spare the child. Oh wait, I got it backwards. Spare the rod, spoil the child. A lot of wisdom in those old sayings. Sometimes we don't give old folks their proper due, but only when we are as old as them do we realize how right they were about a lot of things, and then we cringe when we recollect what know-it-alls we were. No offence to KIA.
  9. She's a hero!

Humiliation is the best cure for the little f*ckers.
  10. She had $20in her pocket and popped some tags.....

I think a better punishment would have been to have her daughter volunteer to help others. What the Mom did was just the same as bullying. Tried to make her kid feel bad.
  11. OMG she looks like crap in those cheap aѕs clothes. She must be the laughing stock of the entire school now. That'll teach the bullying bіtch.
  12. I raised with a paddling and hard labor when I stepped out of line and that's how I raise my kids. This girl got of too easy if you ask me.
  13. Not abusive at all, it's genius.
  14. Not abuse. In fact I'd probably wear that blue dress with the red flowers all over. Cute....
  15. No, not abusive.

My mom used to make me eat soap for doing much less.
