I'm a sophmore and every day I wake up dreading school. People always say "high school is the best years of your life". To be honest these are the worst of mine. I have no friends and my grades suck. People make fun of me everyday because I'm different. I don't see how I'm different though. Ever since high school has started I have been depressed and suicidal. I have nobody I can talk to about my problem because I have no friends. I just want to know how I can stop being so dreadful about school.

honestly the amount of people who truly enjoy high school are probably less then 15%. It's the time in everyone life when people are trying to figure out who they are and what they want to do with their lives. I personally hate going to school as well, it's to much pressure, I have to much homework and projects all the time, and I can't speak in front of my class (presentations are terrible for me). Although you haven't found the right group yet, they are their. Once you find them you'll enjoy high school more, Remember it's only 4 years of your life, after that you can get a job or continue education. In college or university you'll be taking courses that you will actually enjoy and you will be surrounded by like minded people. just focus on the positives. The people who make fun of you are just as in secure. they try and make themselves feel better by putting others down. Ignore them and they will go away. For grades just try studying more often. or if you study everyday, then change you habits. maybe put on music that helps you stay focused, or re-write your notes, everyone learns differently. (one of the main reasons high school sucks [we learn differently but are tested the same way]). I have noticed that usually the "happiest" people in high school are usually the ones who suffer the most. These people tend to change themselves completely in the hopes of "fitting in", this very action tortures them on the inside... but they mask their emotions. I hope that you find the right group soon, and that your grades go up. Good luck and remember you are never alone.

Good luck and remember you are never alone. - I hate it too, your a sophomore? You look way older but then again here in England you start high school at 11...I felt the same about high school, except had friends but not very supportive ones, it might improve next year,
find a group of people and try to be friends with them, if you can make friends with the popular crowd that would be great as then u could be considered cool, lots of people would want to be your friends, and people wouldn't be mean to you I'f so only in a jokey way, also boys would really want to go out with you x
