Why do men on this site lie so often?

Asked by Lecture at 20 May,2013
I know its true because I read one answer of theirs then another and the contradict themselves left and right. Will they lie about anything to make themselves or their side look better? I've even have a few lie and say they were abused by women, then turn around and say they would never let a women but their hands on them, can't they win an argument with the lying??

be careful the last question implying men lie got reported. you know they can dish it but cant take it. lol and they say feminists want to squash freedom of speech.

Other Answers:
  1. This is a new one...if they do, how would you even know?
  2. be careful the last question implying men lie got reported. you know they can dish it but cant take it. lol and they say feminists want to squash freedom of speech.
  3. women and feminist lie more often than men do.
  4. There are people that lie, and there are those who do not.

Then there are people with an agenda. I believe you have one and here is why.
-You read ONE guys answer and extrapolated that 'men' on this site lie so often
-You wrote 'to make.. their side look better'. If you believe there are 'sides' here then you must be on one side.
-You are actually following people around on this site looking to pick stuff apart.
  5. Can't you ask a question without a stereotype? Not all men lie as habitually as you think. People will use certain truths at a time to make a point also. I was beaten by my girlfriend and I will never let a girl touch me in that kind of way also can go together. Also, your question can be directed at women equally well. In general, people lie and bend the truth for their benefit. I'm sure you've done it to.
  6. maybe they don't keep record of what they have been saying all through
  7. I've noticed they contradict themselves, that's for sure... They ask why don't women work dangerous, deadly, hard jobs...? Then complain about women being in those jobs [i.e., lowered standards and/or Affirmative Action] and then complain about women taking jobs from "more qualified male" employees...
  8. I see so much things on yahoo answers who are just not true.. yahoo answers is just a site where someone can give a opinion about something.. if you want the truth look at statistics but don't trust on this site..
  9. Is it oblivious to you that females also lie?
  10. So, one man claiming his opinion and another man claiming another opinion means that all men are liars?

Men don't all have a central brain that controls every thought of every man on this planet. People have different opinions, ya know!
  11. I agree some guys lie but to say all guys is obsurd. All humans lie but it doesn't come more natural to anyone gender. Why don't you point out lies that you can prove and stop blaming a whole gender for individuals.
  12. It's funny you and the feminist are the most notorious liars.

So, is involving police really the best option?

Asked by Temple ♥ Is An Island at 20 May,2013
Well, even when I was younger, 11 or 10 (hard to remember), I had experienced sexual abuse by older boys. He was my cousin... I don't really want to talk about it in detail. My mother found out about it, don't know how she did, she just came into my room and asked me. She didn't call the police or anything like that, even though my cousin was legally an adult. In age only in my opinion. All she did was tell my uncle and he handled it by way of beating the hell out of my cousin while I watched from the stairs. I've had similar experiences but nothing as extreme as that one or as unpleasant to remember... Well, my point is I know other girls with similar stories and not one of them thought to call the police... Most kinda just moved on and tried to forget about it. I don't know, I can't speak for everyone but my reasoning was I just didn't want to... be a bother? I kinda thought that by making a big deal out of it I'd some how being causing more problems...

If more girls reported it, the idiots would probably think twice before assaulting someone.

Other Answers:
  1. If more girls reported it, the idiots would probably think twice before assaulting someone.
  2. you were sexually abused as a child
    The police need to know
  3. from everything Ive seen from cops they don't help a situation. i would have taken situations into my own hands.
  4. No
  5. Yes it's really the best option because although you may have felt vindicated (?) by your uncle beating your cousin there's no telling how many other kids he's done this to. The only way to know is to make sure that person gets arrested. Far too many times in the past families didn't want to involve the police because of family drama and the fact that the laws weren't as specific as they are now. In the past it took a lot to get a conviction on sexual abuse but thanks to DNA and better forensics things have changed. It may not be a "big deal" to you if it only happened one or a few times but who's to say this person hasn't victimized hundreds of other kids.
  6. If you're over it and just want to move on with your life without all the b/s the law would bring to your door, fair enough. However, if you decide to take that option and let them escape justice they'll probably do it so someone else, maybe even multiple people if they've also taken this attitude.

So, not the best option for you but thinking about greater society, yes. :)
  7. there is no best option for stuff like this. there is only a range of bad choices -- no matter which one you choose, you'll always have the bad memories and sense of distrust lodged within.
sorry to hear this happened to you. (hug)
  8. I told an adult, and they chose not to do anything about it. I wasn't aware [at that time] the ramifications of telling the police, or not...having no knowledge of really what the police were fore [being I was only 5].

It's unfortunate, but a lot of people chose to "sweep it under the rug", and you do wonder how many could have been stopped if the police were notified of the crime.
  9. It wouldn't be a bad idea. You could stop your cousin from abusing other people, if he does choose to do so.
  10. There are chances that it might affect your entire family in a negative way. This includes, cousins, uncles, aunts, etc. Police might step in and start asking questions to everyone and butting in, who knows. Criminal records might open and grudges might start...

A comparison I want to make is with War and gang members. Where one side would kill a member of the other, and that side would get overcome by anger and avenge their death by killing someone of the other side. This would lead to a never ending vicious cycle of hatred because human beings sometimes lose control of reasoning and get overcome by these emotions of vengeance and hatred.

By calling the cops and potentially harming the lives of many of your relatives, some people might hold grudges against you or your close family, etc.
  11. The police would have been a viable option. The cousin did receive a good dose of family justice. Which would have been a better deterrent and punishment? I guess only you can say since you were the victim.

Why do some people disagree with certain feminist ideas?

Asked by Sammy at 20 May,2013
Okay, so I have been on Tumblr, and I see a lot of feminism. I understand that this movement can get out of hand, and to the point where women are hating the other gender..... But I have also read many viewpoints where people believe it is completely wrong for women to want to go ahead and get a job, become economically successful, and desire to earn equal wages. Plus, certain advertising (Victoria's Secret, etc.) do annoy many women (including me) because it DOES set a certain image that TENDS to cause many males to believe that THAT is what a woman should look like. I mean, if I expected that the stereotypical man should look like a male model off of Calvin Klein, wouldn't males get mad? My question is, why do people frown upon certain feminist ideas such as equal opportunity in jobs and success? And I really want just a reasonable explanation as to why.... I am curious and would like to hear another point of view. I can see that there are groups of women are being way too radical about it, which I agree that they are. But just because these groups are acting the way they are, people are going to be completely against all ideas that they have? Why is this? For example: If I were to believe that men and women should have equal opportunity in the work force (not the progressive ideals... a.k.a. women should be able to do dirty work too) but is fine with the advertising ways since an answerer just helped me understand that images of the "ideal man" is played out too.... and I worked a regular job.... Would you support it? Why or why not?

If feminism stuck to ideas such as equal opportunity in jobs and success for women - and went about it in a fair and balanced way - then no one would complain or disagree with feminism. but feminism goes beyond that - and it does so in an unfair and unbalanced way. an unreasonable and sexist way. * I judge feminism by the recognised feminist authors, the feminist groups like N.O.W, the things feminists say, and the policies and laws that feminists create - things like VAWA - and N.O.W opposing fathers rights groups. And feminists trying to have men's rights groups banned from uni campuses. These things don't exactly scream equality to me. They scream misandry.

Other Answers:
  1. Because the very point of feminism is to elevate the problems of women over those of men - this is female supremacy.
I'm all for females having the same rights as men, but that's not what feminism is achieving.
  2. I'm going to take your specific point:

"But I have also read many viewpoints where people believe it is completely wrong for women to want to go ahead and get a job, become economically successful, and desire to earn equal wages."

That's because these people are sexists. It's that simple.
  3. Because what feminists claim they stand for isn't necessarily what they really do stand for.

When you hear "equal opportunity jobs", you don't really hear about Affirmative Action, now do you?
When you hear about the "Glass Ceiling", you don't really hear about the "Glass Cellar" and how man are stuck doing all these dead end, disgusting, low-paying jobs that women would never dare to go into (coal mining, garbage collecting, etc.) Why aren't feminists trying to push for more women in these jobs?

When you hear about violence against women, why don't you hear about violence against HUMANS? Feminists tend to completely ignore violence against other men as well.
  4. Feminism isn't about equality. Many of them still want women to get lesser sentences, many of them want vava, many of them still wanted to be treated special.

Men don't complain about Calvin klein but women do complain but women finding model attractive. You don't see men protest for having Calvin klein but feminists do protest against beautiful models.Women are insecure about their bodies, not men. Advertising is advertising, sex sells, do you think they put obese men in romantic novels?
  5. My main issue with feminism is how they blame people who are innocent. Rick Ross recently made a drug rape line in one of his songs and feminists lined outside of reebok and blamed them for his thoughts.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gt4YqjwB7ck

Here's another video showing feminists wasting the fire departments time by pulling a fire alarm to interrupt an mra meeting.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2KPeMcYsuc&list=PLhZOzU5WE3iHiR-4XYE58HQxtwpAfrnyX

the tactics they use are really stupid and blame everyone but the guilty.
  6. because feminists only think about the perks of being equals but not the other stuff like how a woman who commits the same crime as men should get the same sentence

edit as long as you are talking about victoria secret you should see all the shirt less guys in women's ads
  7. If feminism stuck to ideas such as equal opportunity in jobs and success for women - and went about it in a fair and balanced way - then no one would complain or disagree with feminism.

but feminism goes beyond that - and it does so in an unfair and unbalanced way. an unreasonable and sexist way.

And feminists trying to have men's rights groups banned from uni campuses.

These things don't exactly scream equality to me. They scream misandry.
  8. Because some feminists believe that all women who get pregnant have a 98% chance of dying from the pregnancy.
  9. A lot of people recognize that the whole idea of women having 'equal success' is just a silly social construct, no different from a child playing make believe. Men have always been the ones with greater physical strength so that we can do what we please with women, and while some women have tried arguing that that's no longer relevent because of the gun, it's no secret who invented the gun and who continues to invent, well... everything in the world. There's no question that if men and women went to war with one another, men would beat women by the end of the hour, and still have time for lunch.

And being 'equal' means you're equally capable. That's the whole thing women speak of when they talk about wanting to work - that they like knowing that they can be self-sufficient, and so on. But they aren't self-sufficient. If someone attacks them, they'll have no recourse UNLESS a male police officer steps up to defend them. The only reason a foreign nation isn't overruning them and raping them completely is because of men who aren't letting that nation do that. If their house catches on fire, it will be almost entirely men who rescue them and put it out.

It's a silly game of make believe that no thinking adult should take seriously. So rather than continue playing make believe and telling yourself that you're just as sufficient when you're not, some people prefer to focus on reality, and consign women to raise their children - which is the only thing society actually does -need- them for.
  10. Some people have been misinformed about feminism and believe a lot of the anti-feminist propaganda that has been circulating for years. Since the beginning of 1st wave feminism all the way up until now(3rd wave), sexists and chauvinistic men(and even some women) have been creating rumors about what feminism really is. They feel the pressure of the patriarchy finally starting to crumble and it scares them. A dawning of a new age is happening as we speak and chauvinists, sexists and misogynists don't belong.

Also, some conservatives and traditionalists don't care for feminism because it's basically a form of progressive liberalism. As most people know, conservatives don't like liberals and even though feminism helps conservative capitalism, they still lash out against feminism and anything that has to do with equality. Anti-feminism is hypocrisy and always has been.
  11. I only speak for myself. I disagree with feminism in general because they're WM hating bigots, who think WM are responsible for all the murders, rapes, oppression, etc. happening anywhere in the world. Feminists have an extreme hate of WM, you can go to their websites and see this. Most of the feminists in this section have an extreme hate of WM that they only show occasionally. Until this changes, I'll continue to disagree with feminism entirely. They'll thumbs this down, but they know it's true. When feminists talk about "men" they're talking about WM.

These other guys have other reasons for disagreeing with it, but this is my reason. Feminists are also trying to turn men, particularly WM, into pansies.

Does it make sense to you that a straight person finds their gender more visually appealing?

Asked by IT WAS A KIDNEY INFECTION at 20 May,2013
than the opposite? Closet-case much?

Best Answer:
Viola Ted at 20 May,2013
It's kinda stupid to say either SEX is more visually appealing when so many individuals of both sexes are incredibly repulsive.

Other Answers:
  1. Actually I agree with Name Name.
  2. I could make a case for either.

Men's testicles just look ridiculous, just dangling out there like loose leftover skin.

But frankly I think men's chests typically look better. I'm sexually, but not aesthetically, attracted to breasts; they're just weird functionless lumps of fat hanging off the chest.
  3. Only in two worlds - America and Gender studs. Oh and Americans in gender studs.
  4. No. I think they likely aren't entirely straight or are asexual and just notice women's pretty clothes or something.

We're talking about a woman here, so I'll just address it.
  5. It's kinda stupid to say either SEX is more visually appealing when so many individuals of both sexes are incredibly repulsive.
  6. it could be...

As i said in my last answer....I find tigers beautiful but 100% don't want to have sex with a tiger lol!
in fact it will give me a good laugh if some girl here is trying to tell us that men are into animals and hitler - because all men watch discovery channel! :)
Back to the question: it is possible to find something aesthetically pleasant without any sexual attraction. don't you find sunsets beautiful? i am sure you don't want to "do" the sunset though...
and personally I think women are both more visually appealing and sexually more attractive to me. However my attraction to women is mostly due to their beautiful & sexy faces...their vaginas kinda look like something "alien" to me :P.
  7. It makes sense to me.

Many people are able to appreciate the beauty of their own gender without it implying anything about their sexual orientation, and it shouldn't. Like someone else said, they find tigers beautiful, but they're not sexually attracted to them and I'm pretty sure it's similar for humans. Those people simply appreciate human beauty in their gender.

Men rarely comment on male beauty for fear of being considered as homosexual, which seems to be extremely common. I mean you're doing it now.

If people didn't feel the need to connect everything to sex, it would be nice. If a man calls a man attractive, he's gay. If a woman has a certain haircut, she's a lesbian. If a man likes to wear pink clothing, he must be gay. Wish people would stop.
  8. I'm heterosexual, so I'm attracted to guy's, and don't feel the need to be in a relationship with girls. Anyways on average a woman's body looks better even if she's a little chunky. Plus there's so many things today like push up bras, girdles, corsets, booty pads, and etc to make a woman look better than she may actually look.

You'd be surprise at what people actually look like when they're not in tight clothes, and have everything being pushed up with thing's like yoga pants. Most people don't have the body to walk around nude. Just saying....

@MDM yeah a chunky women is more likely to get play compared to a chunky man.
  9. are you trying to ask me a real question or give your opinion? im confused. Cause you asked a loaded question. Women shave and care more about their beauty. Straight girls sit on girls laps, kiss them, and they aren't even close to gay. its life move on

Liz i agree when a man is a little chunky nobody wants to see him. Some people think short stubby guys don't look good. no matter how much lift. Short girls get just as much love as tall models. With men you have to be a certain look.

Liz i agree more often than not you take somebody clothes off its not going to be a good thing

not many wanna see a naked guy (girls only need to see the abs) but guys want to see naked women, so the show director wants to draw in a male audience and make more money the longer they stay watching the show without changing channels money yo

Other Answers:
  1. it's based in medieval times, right? in that case, women were not socially accepted as people with full rights. they were mistreated and abused, such as the movie goes to show
  2. I don't know about you,but nobodies going to pay me to strut around naked...
  3. ask her why is it the in soap opera they only show naked men and not naked women
  4. not many wanna see a naked guy (girls only need to see the abs)

but guys want to see naked women, so the show director wants to draw in a male audience and make more money the longer they stay watching the show without changing channels

    money yo
  5. It is a TV show - its producers are probably concerned about ratings. Showing naked women helps the show to get higher ratings than it would by showing naked men since there is a bigger market for naked women than there is for naked men.
  6. most gamers are men?
  7. That show is targeted for a male audience. But the fantasy and romantic aspects are bound to attract female viewers, I like the show. You could try Spartacus? Just as good but with male nudity as well as female nudity. Oh and to be fair, Game of thrones does not show either sexes genitalia.. Spartacus does.
  8. They do occasionally show full-frontal male nudity, though I agree not nearly as much as the women. It's probably based on the assumption that female nudity "sells more". However, in the show's defense, many scenes take place in brothels.
  9. They don't. There is a substantial amount of male nudity; however, it's not close to equal the amount of female nudity...Also, read the books!
  10. because it's not women in love
