We see MRAs and anti-feminists post links to evidence of areas where men are disadvantaged...?

Asked by Woody Red at 06 May,2013
We see MRAs and anti-feminists post links to evidence of areas where men are disadvantaged or discriminated against, why dont we see feminists posting sources to evidence of oppression of women ? I've posted plenty of links to articles and studies .. I can't remember ever seeing anything from feminist. Why is this ? surely a source would prove an argument or point. well some examples of areas where men are disadvantaged : due process removed from male students at colleges and universities -> http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324600704578405280211043510.html http://www.elephantjournal.com/2011/05/women-lie-anonymous/ Judges ordered to give lesser sentences to women -> http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1311004/Judges-ordered-mercy-women-criminals-deciding-sentences.html Men not allowed to stand for election in politics -> http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013/mar/15/labour-all-women-shortlists-election Mandatory male arrest in domestic violence situations -> http://www.saveservices.org/dvlp/policy-briefings/what-are-the-state-laws-that-mandate-arrest-for-dv-assault/ Anti-father bias in custody courts -> http://www.fathers-4-justice.org/

I've seen you on this board for, what, one year? Two? Three? And I've seen you participate in a million posts where feminists list examples of female disadvantage. So it's weird, and perhaps very telling, that they all just fell out of your head like they never existed. To recap just nine of the most common: 1. The wage gap is real. Women tend to work lower-paying jobs than men, and even for the same work, they only make something like 97 cents on the dollar. 2. There is a strong social bias against women in a wide variety of professions, from firefighter to soldier to garbage collector. 3. An attractive woman cannot walk down many streets without being objectified, catcalled, hooted and whistled at, by guys who think that's all perfectly acceptable. 4. Women who are victims of domestic violence tend to end up physically and emotionally broken in ways that male victims do not. 5. Our government is approximately 80% male; women are underrepresented at every single level of every single branch of government. 6. There are many sexual double standards against women; a man is often celebrated for promiscuity, while a woman is demonized and shamed. 7. Women underperform in math, science, and engineering, some of the highest-paying jobs; and studies have repeatedly shown that this is at least partly (though not entirely) due to teacher bias. 8. In many American religious subcultures (Mormons, JWs, etc.), women are encouraged or expected to forego higher education and settle for being someone's wife, no matter what their aspirations. 9. Women are sexually assaulted at a rate that utterly dwarfs sexual assault against men. I won't link them all here because I don't want to spend 20 minutes answering a question with an answer you're just going to casually thumbs down and forget ever existed, regardless. But the links have been provided over the years.

Other Answers:
  1. Well the evidences is in their heads.
  2. Sure we do. They have plenty of links to evidence of female disadvantage and oppression.

    ... in Muslim dictatorships.
  3. I post links all the time and always wait for feedback but rarely get any. MRA or anti-feminist types often ignore them or dismiss them, I guess.

Here is a link for affirmative action that men hate and come down on feminists hard for - but they can't with this - it's affirmative action for boys.

Here's one to refute your anti-father bias too. "There are now 2.2 million divorced women in the United States who do not have primary physical custody of their children, and an estimated 50 percent of fathers who seek such custody in a disputed divorce are granted it."
  4. This question is a bit confusing. Feminists always talk about things that ordinary women don't care about. Mostly feminists in the past 50 years have been solely concerned with lesbian issues and women in the workforce. Oh, yes, they call family court crisis now (and they're not wrong) but they conveniently forget their movement wiped out all the legal protections and maternal preference in custody cases women once had within their families before their movement.

I don't see anywhere that men are discriminated against (come on, MRAs give me the thumbs down and tell me how victimized you are you know you want to). Family courts have been known to coddle fathers, especially unwed fathers (who only recently gained custodial rights within the last 40 years) and abusive fathers. Affirmative action is wrong and I do believe our society discriminates against breadwinner men and is trying to wipe them and homemaker wives out of existence.
