Hi! I called this :Selfish Our human natural way is like that, in a sociate where the stronger will success, when we get the goal we wants to be the only one and make others to see us like (gods) or the better one. and if we help others to find the way to be like us that will take us away from the place we already won. Still called Selfish. That's why this happen.

  1. Bill Gates has succeeded & is one of the biggest philanthropists in history.
  2. I think he was talking in general, not exceptions like Bill Gates. The answer is simple. People that have succeeded usually did it with ambition, intelligence and hard work. They often feel disgusted by the laziness and lack of ambition of other people.

If you aren't talking about that, maybe the people they should be helping have never helped or been there for them, therefore they feel why should they?
  5. Jealousy.
  6. Because when they were in desperate need of help, the ones who wanted help from them never gave help, let alone express an iota of interest in their welfare. Such people did go through lengths to try to keep them at an ignoble position in order to outline their status of superiority. Last time, I had a friend who was doing pretty badly at a company when his mates told him that he could just accept that he was useless and not needed and made to leave if he wasn't happy with anything. Then there is the idea that their personal efforts had been earned through hard work that would otherwise be frowned upon by others for their personal suffering, yet when the need arises they opportunistically think that they can get some of it.
