Of course they can. I have several guy friends where no romantic feelings exists, at least for me, but yes, I think that is a real possibility, and like the other poster have already said, many relationships start out as friendships, and why should they not, after all, the best of friends makes the greatest of lovers =>

- Sure, I've had lots of female friends that I wasn't interested in sexually. It totally doesn't work the other way though, a girlfriend has to be a friend as much as a sex partner.
- Its possible. I have had friendships with a couple of guys where I have had no feelings for them what so ever and neither did they have any for me. However, I do think that that there is a higher percentage of people who are friends with the opposite sex that have feelings for the other. This is why many relationships start out as friendships and then later on, build to something more.

- Yeah, its quite possible. In my college days, I had a few female friends whom I never sexually got attracted to. We used be just good friends. From my experience, I can say its possible. However I think a slight distance should be maintained between a male and a female even if they are just friends with each other.
